PowerBrace Residential Foundation Repair

PowerBrace will correct cracking foundation walls

PowerBrace® will correct cracking foundation walls with minimal disturbance of the area. PowerBrace® requires no exterior work in order to install and stabilize the walls securely. Strengthening the wall with steel columns is an economical method of stabilizing the wall. With the PowerBrace® patented system there will be no need to remove or replace concrete in your basement.

Interior Bracing is a tried and true method of stabilizing deteriorated basement block walls. Walls that have horizontal cracks are usually buckling due to the hydraulic forces of freezing and thawing of the surrounding earth. Strengthening the wall with steel columns is an economical method of stabilizing the wall.

Wall Shear

A common problem that occurs with a block wall foundation is a phenomenon known as wall shear. That is, a separation occurs along the top of the first coarse of block and the entire wall creeps inward. By properly anchoring a vertical beam, further shearing is prevented. The PowerBrace system uses a specially designed floor bracket to bolt the vertical beam to the existing floor, eliminating the mess involved in the removal and replacement of concrete.

Wall Implosion

The combination of the climate and the soils found in many residential areas causes tremendous stresses on basement walls. High moisture content in the earth causes expansion and contraction of the soil surrounding your basement walls. Several cycles of hard winters and wet spring weather can eventually cause implosion of the basement wall. Interior braces transfer this pressure to the concrete floor and the floor joists of the dwelling above.

Wall Implosion is common in Wisconsin
