The House Holder® Steel Foundation
System was invented by Dry Basement & Foundation Systems to work
specifically in Kanas-City-area soils on Kansas City homes. The bracket
features a friction plate and heavy-duty construction. The heavy-walled
pipe is driven deep into the earth to load bearing strata to support
your home and prevent further settlement.
The soil in Kansas City is primarily clay. This "expansive"
clay soil expands and contracts with changes in the moisture level.
In our hot summers a gap may form between the soil and the foundation.
This gap allows hot air to enter and further contracts the soil away
from your home. When the soil contracts, there is nothing supporting
your foundation, and settlement may occur. The HouseHolder was specifically
designed to support your foundation where the soil can't. The steel
pipe is driven to load-bearing strata and your foundation is supported.
